[benchmarking][sl4f] Remove the current |processTrace|

Remove the current |processTrace| implementation, by moving the current
implementation of |processTrace2| into it, and having |processTrace2|
wrap |processTrace|.

This soft incremental change is required for tests in different repos
that currently reference |processTrace2|.  Following this change, we can
instead have them point at |processTrace|, and then remove
|processTrace2| entirely.
