[docs] Recommend using direnv for fx bootstrapping

dotenv is written in JS so installation requires npm, which is a pretty
heavy dependency that many developers might not otherwise have
installed. On the other hand, direnv is written in Go and installable
directly via most system package managers (homebrew, apt, etc.), which
makes it much more appealing and quicker to set up.

Also fix typos/wording in the "Caution" note.
